Backpack Program Returning for Seventh Year
For the seventh consecutive year, the Pulaski Backpack Program is providing students with meals during school breaks or long weekends.
The program aims to provide meals for families and students who qualify for free or reduced lunches, and will take place once a month. There is limited availability, so families are encouraged to sign up early. There will be a wait list made available for those who are unable to sign up in time.
There are two ways that students can receive their meals. The first way is by bus delivery, in which students can grab a backpack full of meals as they exit their bus. The second way is via pick up, where students or their parent/guardian can pick up a backpack at either Lura M. Sharp or the attendance office at the Middle-Senior High School.
The district would like to make it known that, unlike in past years, they will not be reusing backpacks, and that families may keep the bags that their meals come in. Parents may sign up for this program by utilizing the application, located under the “Parents” section of the PACS website and linked here.
